"La Fine Arts Presente son Exposition des Artistes Japonais" has a special meaning for me. It has been held in Tokyo annually as the only opportunity for exposure to "Salon de Mai" since 1981. As you know, it is almost impossible to send artwork to Salon de Mai because they only accept invited artist's works.

I send my artwork to the "Fine Arts" exhibition for a number of reasons. It is the only exhibition which Pablo Picasso had participated in throughout his life. Moreover, it's concept is not tied to any authority or convention and is a place of a free expression and individuality. I was deeply impressed with that idea.

Since my first entry, I was fortunately selected thorough the 11th to 14th exhibition. But I couldn't send my work to further exhibition due to personal reasons. I still have strong passion for "Fine Arts" and I hope to return in the future.

Before entering the school, I was always painting pictures. With felt pens or oil colors, I often sacrificed all comforts and devoted myself to painting

Every night, I saw flashes of various colors like the neon lights in the city or the Christmas illumination on winter nights. I spent delightful moments with them. I was full of pleasure with them. I tried to keep their vision as long as possible. I closed my eyes so tightly. Then I repeated opening and closing my eyes several times. But in many cases, all my efforts were in vain. There was only one moment, every time. After the falshes disappeared, basic images of my painting would appear.

I went into these images, and I went to sleep while confirming that eyes should be here, nose should be this way, hair should be... etc.. These basic images are perfect. Therefore, if I had been able to paint immediately, the perfect work could be made. But unfortunately, a little child had to sleep. Although I tried to recover the image next day, it was quite difficult. The finished works gave me at most 80% satisfaction compared with the perfect images in my mind.

The positions of colors in my paintings are perfectly determined in my mind. I have never regretted painting the colors after I have finished. My feeling may be different from others. Although I agree that blue is beautiful, I don't agree that the sky is always blue. Although you may believe that both human eyes have the same color, I sometimes put different colors into them. In the same way, you must find vertically placed mouth in my pictures. I don't care about difference between realities and my feelings.

I always love each of my works. When I was a little girl, I used to feel releasing my work was like losing my arms and legs. So, I couldn't say "yes" to other people's words, "Could you give me your picture?". Even if they offered some good reward, or even if they were people I loved, it was no matter. I only felt sadness. Nowadays, printing technologies like silk screening have become highly developed. If there are people who love my paintings and wish them, it is possible to provide them with my artwork.

It is my pleasure to show you my works thorough the World Wide Web. I want to create more paintings and put them on the web. You encourage me by visiting my site. Please come to see them again. Thank you for visiting and reading my story.
