The JARL Kyoto Club is one of the oldest local-based radio club in Japan.
It was originally founded in 1947. ex J2EK was the then president. After
few year's pause, the club was re-organized in 1954. JA3AD was chosen as
the president. In 1960, the club station, JA3YAQ was licensed.
Our primary activity is stay on the air. Some forty members enjoy field
operation, contesting, DX-pedition etc. Of course, we also plan technical
studies, guidance of youngsters, beer meetings and other leisure activities
for members and their family. |

JA3YAQ: Our primary station. The fixed 1kW station is located on the top of Mt.
Hiei which elevation is 848 meters above the sea level. The portable station
is located in Muko City (JCC #2210) and its available power is 50W.
JE3YEK: Our secondary station. The fixed 500W station is located in Kyoto City
and the portable station is located in Muko City.
W8YAQ: Our club statoin in the USA. c/o K8AQM, Ted. The trustee is our president,
KF8TW/JH3TXR.
JR3VA: Repeater on 439.54MHz
JR3VU: Repeater on 439.98MHz / 1292.38MHz
JA3YTZ: Packet Cluster on 1296.98MHz

The JARL Kyoto Club presents The Kyoto All Cities / All Guns Award shown the left. The easiest award will be issued if you get QSL cards
from ten different districts of Kyoto Prefecture. The WS class is the highest
one. 5 bands all districts achievement is required. Further information
